Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which rose 3.22% or 14.20 points to trade at 454.70 at the close. Meanwhile, H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) added 2.74% or 4.30 points to end at 161.20 and Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) was up 2.21% or 0.15 points to 6.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sinch AB (ST:SINCH), which fell 2.17% or 0.68 points to trade at 30.64 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 2.10% or 35.00 points to end at 1,628.00 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was down 1.55% or 0.52 points to 33.02.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 485 to 279 and 86 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.25% or 2.19 to $69.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.75% or 1.94 to hit $72.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.46% or 37.20 to trade at $2,579.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.18% to 11.41, while USD/SEK fell 0.45% to 10.33.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 101.50.
