Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction, Banking and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.63%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr), which rose 3.31% or 0.24 points to trade at 7.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Intralot (AT:INLr) added 3.19% or 0.04 points to end at 1.17 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) was up 3.11% or 0.35 points to 11.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr), which fell 2.99% or 0.40 points to trade at 13.00 at the close. J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) declined 0.90% or 0.01 points to end at 1.33 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was down 0.82% or 0.02 points to 2.42.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 72 to 40 and 23 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.28% or 7.30 to $2,605.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.90% or 0.63 to hit $70.51 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.84% or 0.62 to trade at $74.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 100.68.
