Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.42%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 1.81% or 1,340.00 points to trade at 75,420.00 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) added 0.82% or 13.00 points to end at 1,601.00 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was up 0.70% or 32.00 points to 4,588.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE:ENLT), which fell 3.66% or 229.00 points to trade at 6,025.00 at the close. Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE) declined 3.57% or 150.00 points to end at 4,050.00 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was down 3.41% or 73.00 points to 2,067.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 243 to 206 and 90 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.17% or 2.16 to $70.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.03% or 2.17 to hit $73.87 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 21.50 to trade at $2,680.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.02% to 3.75, while EUR/ILS rose 0.49% to 4.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 100.92.
